Bite-sized planning for big results
The Momentum Files #3
I have helped more than a thousand high-achieving and executive level professionals get crystal clear on what they want and how to go about getting it. This helps them to land best-fit jobs, advance beyond their current roles and pursue their desired career goals.
I’ll share with you what I’ve shared with each of them.
If you want to be more productive and accomplish more with less stress and overwhelm, implement this simple practice into your routine:
Write out a weekly plan.
Yep. It’s that easy.
Having a detailed plan for what you want to accomplish during the week is one of the best ways to set realistic expectations, focus on what you can control, stay on track and make things happen.
It gets you into the habit of taking regular consistent action and keeps you focused on setting priorities and sticking to a schedule. Your time becomes more structured. Your tasks feel less overwhelming.
And it feels good to purposefully schedule time for you – your personal and professional development, lifestyle goals and whatever else is important in your life.
This dedication to your own success and development is the foundation that makes everything else work.
Simply set aside a time each week to plan out the following week’s priorities, and you’ll quickly notice the benefits.
Here are two pro-tips for more success with less stress:
Identify what time of day you have the most energy and use that time for strategizing and planning.
Break your tasks into bite-sized chunks. This is a BIG one! When we take on too much at once, we feel that overwhelm take over. Breaking bigger goals into smaller, more manageable tasks keeps you focused and productive without feeling crushed under a pile of impossible expectations. (Completing quick tasks also gives you a dopamine hit that encourages you to do it again and again.)
